Chris is a Director at Watling Real Estate based in the North West and heads the Manchester office. He is a Member of the RICS, a RICS Registered Fixed Charge Receiver, a Fellow of NARA, and a RICS Registered Valuer.
Chris qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2006 following graduation from The University of Reading in Land Management (BSc) and Urban Planning & Development (MSc). Chris spent 20 years working at GVA Grimley (now Avison Young) predominantly within their Restructuring Solutions team, before joining Watling Real Estate at its inception in 2023.
Chris has advised a wide variety of clients including banks, building societies, alternative lenders, accountants/IPs, private equity investors, charities, and large corporates.
Chris has experience working across all real estate sectors including Industrial, Land and Development (with a residential bias), BTL Residential, Investment, Offices, Retail, and Leisure.
Chris successfully completed a 12-month secondment in 2013 with Nationwide Building Society working within its Commercial Recoveries team and was responsible for managing a portfolio of loans and Borrowers with a broad range of property interests.
